Navigating the Crime Analysis Hiring Process:  What Employers Are Looking For

Preparing for a career in crime and intelligence analysis starts well before submitting an application. This webinar will examine what employers look for in prospective analysts, common mistakes that can prevent applicants from advancing, and ways to build a stronger application. Participants will also learn what to expect during interviews, how to distinguish themselves from other candidates, and steps they can take now to prepare for the hiring process.

Intelligence Analyst Tiffany Pate has served with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (NCSBI) for more than 20 years and is currently assigned to the Computer Crimes Unit in Raleigh. Throughout her career, she has supported local, state, and federal investigations involving violent and property crime, financial crime, organized crime, child exploitation, human trafficking, and Internet Crimes Against Children. Pate also provides training on internet safety, social media investigations, and human trafficking and has delivered international law enforcement training in the Philippines and Costa Rica. She is a Certified Analyst through the National White Collar Crime Center and has received multiple NCSBI and North Carolina Department of Public Safety awards recognizing her investigative work and service.
